“A photograph is neither taken or seized by force. It offers itself up. It is the photo that takes you. One must not take photos.”
Henri Cartier-Bresson

A shaft of light lasting only 30 seconds, on this sculpture of the Annunciation then disappeared, transformed this image in to something special. Humility and surrender.
“Nothing is impossible for God”

Waiting, sitting for 30 minutes and watching as people walked by. A lady, struggling to climb the steps with her stick and a heavy bag of shopping, in the midday sun. It was only when I looked at the image later, did I see the shadow behind her. A stark reminder of the fragility of life, the shadow of death not far behind.
To me, photography is a spiritual experience, enabling me to see with my eyes, feel with my heart and emotions. It helps me appreciate the beauty of the world in all it’s richness and to give glory to God .
“Photography allows us to document our lives and the world around us in a very personal way. Our photos reflect our unique perception of the world around us, and allow us to explore the nature of photography and of spirituality, and the connection between the two”.
